Yoyo Constant Joël popularly known as DJ Kerozen is an Ivorian singer born on the 2nd of May 1986 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He sings the coupe décale genre of music that carries heavy messages unlike the other coupe décalés sang by most artists of this music genre.
He started as a DJ and became more interested in music while in high school in 2004, he decided to stop school and focus on music. In 2005 he released a collabo with Zephy le créateur titled la danse de la motto.
During one of the numerous nights the artist went out showing his expertise, he had the grace to fall on David Tayorault who decided to produce him. The artist then decided to relocate to Swiss where he stayed from 2005 to 2008 where he worked as DJ in a night club and still released a few singles which weren’t so popular.
On one of these nights he had the opportunity to meet the international Ivorian singer Serey Die who advised him and gave him incredible ideas and encouragements on how to push his career and that was exactly how he decided to move back to Ivory Coast where he met a very popular showbiz lady named Emma Dobré who decided to produce him. His big break came in 2016 after releasing the hit single titled Mon heure a sonné which means my time has come and definitely his time had come as the song made waves all round Ivory Coast and even Africa thereby cultivating a fertile soil for his prominence, grace and popularity. With this, he planted his space in the coupe décalé genre of music then further released other amazing pieces like le temp, Marie jo in 2017 which are all songs that were listened and loved across Africa., due to the message they possess and their unique and entertaining flow. The artist also did amazing collabos; one with popular Ivorian singer Serge Bernaud titled Ça dépend de toi in 2018, another piece loved all across Africa.
