Josey’s Birthday: June 29, 1990

Born Gnakrou Josée Pricille and popularly known as Josey, the Ivorian singer and composer was born on the 29th of June 1990. She is a popular African artist who is known for her combination of Afro-Zouk, coupe décalé, RnB, soul, Afro folk and rumba. The curvaceous hit maker’s singing dream began at age eight right in church. She rose to fame in 2012 after coming 2nd in the Castle Live Opera a singing competition organized by the castle group.

In 2003 she was a member of the quarantine rap group in her college.From 2009 to 2011, Josey does presentations in a show in Abidjan that grants her openings for popularity. After her studies at the National Administration school, she opts for a musical career.

Her debut solo maxi single * we do nothing with that* was realized in January 2014. This same year she worked with many different DJs including the popular DJ Arafat for incredible releases.

Her super hit track Diplome won her the monika of women’s advocate and also a nomination to the poro music awards under the Best female hope category at the palace of culture during the Abidjan festival.

Josey is a mother of two kids whom she has with the international Ivorian footballer Serey Dié.
