Jean Jules Kenfack popularly known as maahlox is a Cameroonian rapper and singer born on the 16th of January 1990 in Yaoundé Cameroon. Maahlox was born and raised in Yaoundé obili and is the second child out of ten children. He went to secondary school at mendong high school where he won the price for best poem of the year for two continuous years. His childhood was not the best as he suffered psychological pain and trauma from the separation of his parents and the dead of his sister. His artistic name maahlox was chosen from homonym with the name of the drugs his sister took to ease the pain of the cancer she was suffering from, unfortunately she passed away. Describe as one of the most popular artist of his generation , he rose to fame after his single release *la bière c’est combien ici* then his album *ça sort come ça sort*.

Most of his content are always considered to be too explicit, vulgar and rude making some critics call him depraved or bad examples for youths. Most at times his work is described as immoral and even banned in most cases.

In January 2017, the artist refused to participate in the canal 2 award ceremony by asking them to remove his name from the list. He added that they have used all means to tarnish his image and ruin his musical career, for years he has been considered a promoter of immorality and depravity of good behavior.

Maahlox is the owner of the bar ‘Boivement’ and he recently constructed his personal residence in Yaounde which include a swimming pool and a mini basketball court. We estimated Maahlox’ net worth at $200,000 US dollars (120 million FCFA).
