Melanie Ngoga popularly known as Mimie, was born on the 11th of January 1991 in Douala Cameroon. She is a Cameroonian singer, song writer and performer. She originates from Douala but has schooled in Buea at the government school Molyko. Following an interview she is said to have started her musical career when she was 11 and wrote her first song when she was 13.

Her professional career started in 2013 when Stanley Enow gave her an opportunity to sing with him at the ifest 2013. She was once part of Motherland Empire then later universal music Africa.
