Tems’ Birthday: June 11, 1995

Temilade Openiyi , professionally recognized as Tems is a Nigerian singer, song writer and record producer . Born on the 11th of June 1995 in Lagos Nigeria, Tems rose to fame after she featured Wizkid in his 2020 single * Essense* from here she even gained a Grammy award nomination and this same year she featured drake’s song fountain.

Tems began to learn self production skills on YouTube and on the 18th of July 2018, she released her debut single Mr rebel a song she produced herself. Following this, the artist did many other releases and also interesting collabos with prominent artists.

Although her mom allowed her to listen to just Christian music through out her childhood, she had her other inspirations from artists like Beyonce, Rihanna , Adele and others . At age 15, she decided to stop listening to others and focus more on herself.

The artist has a unique and outstanding voice that gives the impression of listening to a male singing. Nevertheless, the voice has brought her so many accolades and she keeps feeding the world with good and diligent masterpieces.
Unfortunately the artist once had an issue with the law on the 14th of December 2021 following a show in Uganda which she had with Omah Lay .. They were allegedly arrested for violating COVID 19 protocols , later on they were released two days after and the officers apologized.
