Teniola Apata Mon professionally known as Teni is a Nigerian song writer, singer and entertainer who was born on the 23rd of December 1992 in Lagos state Nigeria. She attended Apata Memorial High school and continued to the university of Georgia then finished at the American Intercontinental University where she got a degree in Business administration.

The artist released her first single Amen while signed under Shizzi’s magic Fingers Records. She left the label and joined Dr. Dolor Entertainment in 2017. After a few releases she began gaining popularity and more fame came in after she released her hit singles Askamaya case and Uyo meyo. The artist’s askamayawas ranked 15th on MTV’s base year end list of top 20 hottest Niger tracks in 2018. Following this the artist kept doing amazing releases.

Teni released her debut EP Billionaire on the 11th of October 2019. The artist later on partnered with Nigerian disk jokey, DJ Neptune to release an EP called the quarantine play list, inspiration gotten from the outbreak of the corona virus. The artist also signed endorsement deals like one she signed with Tom Tom a candy brand produced by Cadbury Nigeria. On the 6th of October 2020, Teni had signed an endorsement deal with telecommunication’s giant Glabacom Nigeria as reported by PM news.

Teni has won many awards in and out of Nigeria, for example she won best artist at the sound city MVP awards and many others. The artist keeps releasing tracks that make her a pride Nigeria has when it comes to singing.
